Dr. Long is an author, theological and legal scholar, educator, and business consultant living in the Pacific Northwest. His books or long essays cover six or more scholarly areas: religion (including Biblical studies), history, law, words, education and childhood disabilities, including autism. His 2001 book on the history of Oregon’s death penalty, A Tortured History: The Story of Capital Punishment in Oregon won an award. To date he has written or edited 14 books and more than 4300 essays (equivalent of 65 books of 200 pages).
